The Smithsonian Wants Your Walt Disney World or Disneyland Pictures

Have you ever been to Walt Disney World in Orlando or Disneyland in Anaheim? Got great photos? They could end up in an exhibit at the Museum of American History in Washington, DC.

The Smithsonian's National Museum of American History is working on a "Disney Parks and American Stories" project and they are asking the public to submit their photos to be displayed in the exhibit.

The best photos will show you and/or your family members with characters, on rides, in front of Cinderella's castle, or maybe eating one of the famous Mickey ice cream bars. Multi-generational photos or those taken with attractions that no longer exist will be especially desirable.

They're also requesting that a short description be included with each photo. What year was it, who were you with, how did you feel in the moment?

It's not clear when the exhibit will open or how many photos will actually be included, but if you've ever captured any great memories at Walt Disney World or Disneyland, it's worth a shot to submit them.
