A Fort Bend County woman and her 7-year-old son, injured Tuesday in a Beasley tornado, are now on the mend.
Sonya Richardson and her son, Lincoln, sustained serious injuries when the tornado lifted up and tossed their 40-foot trailer around. The boy was thrown out.
Bryce Richardson, Sonya's husband, dug himself out of the debris and searched in the dark for his wife and children. He said lightning flashes helped him find his way.

Bryce found Sonya pinned between the roof and a mattress, holding on to 2-year-old Landry. None of the other children were seriously hurt.
Sonya has a broken back and faces a long road to recovery with a splint in her spine. Lincoln sustained multiple facial injuries but has been discharged from Memorial Hermann Hospital.
A gofundme account has been set up to help the family with medical expenses.
