The body of a missing New Jersey man was found buried in snow in a neighbor's yard. Andrew Fraioli, 40, was reported missing by his parents on February 1 after he left their house in the middle of a blizzard that dumped over 30 inches of snow in parts of northern New Jersey.
The Wyckoff Police Department said he was last seen at 8 p.m. and was wearing a long-sleeved, green shirt, pajama pants, and slippers. It is unknown why he left in the middle of a severe snowstorm.
After weeks of searching for Fraioli, the police got a break in the case when a neighbor called police after discovering an unresponsive man in their yard. When police arrived, they found the body, still partially covered in snow, and identified the remains as those of Fraioli.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances of his death but have not found any indication of foul play. They are waiting for the results of the autopsy to determine his cause of death.
"The Wyckoff Police Department offers our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Fraioli and ask that you respect their privacy during this difficult time," Lt. Joseph Soto said.
